Rachael joined Terramatrix in March 2011. Rachael has been involved in the emergency management sector for over 17 years. Her induction to fire came in 1994 when she joined the South Morang Fire Brigade as a volunteer fire fighter. Over the years Rachael gained accreditation in a number of specialist areas such as fire behaviour and investigation, trench rescue, fire equipment maintenance and wildfire management overlay assessment. She gained more formal qualifications in training and assessment, local government (animal management), management system auditing, emergency medical dispatch and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation from RMIT University. Rachael has also worked at CFA where she was responsible for the Municipal Fire Prevention Planning Audit Program.
In her time at Terramatrix, Rachael has coordinated the development of Road Fire Management Guidelines for VicRoads, DSE and MAV and implemented a major review of the City of Manningham Municipal Fire Management Plan.
