Hamish Allan
Bachelor of Applied Science Graduate Diploma of Bushfire Protection Certificate of Environmental Assessment and Land Use Policy Level 3 BPAD Accreditation Manager - Bushfire Planning & Design Hamish joined Terramatrix in March 2012 as the Manager of the Bushfire Planning and Design unit. Hamish is one of two Victorian bushfire practitioners accredited to Level 3 standard, that provides for alternate bushfire solutions and alternate measures. He is formally accredited by the Fire Protection Association of Australia (FPAA) in association with the CFA and DELWP, to provide bushfire planning and design services. He brings more than 25 years experience in strategic and statutory land use planning, environmental management and bushfire planning for both State and local government. Hamish's role at Terramatrix is to manage the Terramatrix Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) program. This includes leading and undertaking bushfire analysis and risk assessments for strategic planning projects such as precinct structure plans, producing Bushfire Management Statements and other Bushfire development reports for residential and commercial developments, subdivisions and planning scheme amendments. Hamish is also a guest lecturer in Bushfire Planning and Design for Melbourne University - Bushfire Urban Planning and Victoria University Graduate Certificate in Performance Based Building and Fire Codes. Hamish has also provided bushfire training for a range of clients including local governments, the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and the Building Designers Association of Victoria (BDAV).
